GRSM COMMITTEES 2006

Credentialing: Rev. Thelma Smith, Chairperson

Credentialing Committee reviews requests for credentials, develops credentialing policies and procedures and monitors class enrollment. Makes recommendations to COM, sets up panels.

Education: Rev. Lisa Marks, Acting Chairperson of Professional Development ; (Curriculum and Web Based Teaching positions are open).

Education Committee is made up of several co-chairs. To include Professional Development, Curriculum and Web Based Teaching. These co-chairs make recommendations to COM for updating curriculum, updates guidelines and text of current studies, planning and implementing Web Based Teaching and classes in Professional Development beyond Credentialed Science of Mind classes.

Standards & Procedures: Rev. Christine Coates, Chairperson

Researches and develops policies and procedures that keep us in compliance of GRSM, local, state and federal requirements.

Prayer Team: Rev. Dwight Smith, Chairperson

Provides regular treatment for the organization as well as members requesting treatment. Will take the prayer team further this year by accepting requests through the GRSM web site and telephone line. Will promote the prayer team in a larger capacity than previously used.

Retreat: Rev. Christine Coates & Rev. Roberta Adair, Co-chairpersons

Plan, advertise, set up and conduct annual fall retreat.

Strategic Planning: Rev. Christine Coates, Chairperson

Develops and implements the seven (7) year Strategic Plan for GRSM. This is a vital step for us to take. Will determine where the organization wants to be at the end of seven years and set plans for the next seven years outlining how we will get there. Includes, Vision, Mission, Values statements and budgeting.

Membership:

Develop and implement plans to recruit new members. Develop and implement plan to inspire current members to participate, support and become more active with the organization and other members of the organizations. Will work closely with the Publicity and Promotion committee.

Publicity & Promotion:

Will develop necessary publicity and promotion strategies that will enhance and expand the organization and its members. To include workshops, seminars, classes, events, prayer team, members and seminary. Also to include developing better relationships with other organizations. Will work closely with membership on many projects.

Grants:

Will research available grants, making suggestions to COM for application to and assisting with application process. After grants are received will monitor according to specifications of grant.
